Windshield Replacement
OEM-quality glass, calibrated safety systems, and insurance handled for you — usually in a single visit. Family-owned on Bridge Street since 1947.
A windshield is structural. It carries roof load in a rollover, it backs your passenger airbag, and on most modern vehicles it holds the camera that runs your safety systems. Replacing one properly is not a glass swap — it's a safety repair.
Newburgh Auto Glass has been replacing windshields on Bridge Street for three generations. We use OEM-quality glass matched to your vehicle, urethane rated for your climate, and we recalibrate your ADAS safety systems in-house before you drive away. No sending you to a dealer, and no second appointment.
Repair or Replace?
We will tell you straight. If a repair will hold, a repair is cheaper, faster, and keeps your factory glass and factory seal.
Chips smaller than a quarter and cracks under about six inches, as long as they sit outside the driver's direct line of sight and haven't reached the edge of the glass. Most take under an hour.
Cracks longer than six inches, damage that reaches the edge, chips directly in the driver's view, or any damage that has already spread into the inner layer of laminate.
Hudson Valley temperature swings turn a repairable chip into a full replacement fast. A cold night after a warm afternoon is often all it takes.

Windshield Replacement FAQs
Most windshield replacements take 60 to 90 minutes. If your vehicle needs ADAS calibration, add roughly another hour. We handle both in the same visit, so you're typically here half a day at most.
If you carry comprehensive coverage, windshield replacement is usually covered, and in New York many policies waive the deductible for glass. We work with all major carriers, bill them directly, and will check your specific coverage before any work begins.
Yes. We run mobile service throughout Newburgh, New Windsor, Cornwall, Beacon, Wallkill, Middletown, and the surrounding Hudson Valley. Mobile work depends on weather and on whether your vehicle needs in-shop calibration, so we'll confirm when you book.
It depends on the urethane and the weather that day. Safe drive-away time is commonly around an hour, but it can be longer in cold or damp conditions. We give you the exact number for your vehicle rather than a general rule.
If there's a camera mounted behind your rear-view mirror, then almost certainly yes. Manufacturers and most insurers require recalibration after the windshield comes out. We do it in-house — see our ADAS calibration page for the detail.
Yes. Alongside cars we handle pickups, delivery vans, box trucks, semis, RVs, and heavy equipment, and we run fleet programs for local businesses. See auto glass repair for the full range.
Quality varies a great deal. We fit OEM or OEM-equivalent glass matched to your VIN so the tint band, sensor bracket, and acoustic interlayer match what your vehicle left the factory with. On camera-equipped vehicles, the wrong glass can make calibration fail outright.
